How often do you use your CNC machine?

I bought one a couple of years ago and I can’t seem to justify it’s use.
I have a 3-axis Taig mill and use it almost on a daily basis. I started out doing mostly prototypes, but now that I have the learning curve behind me, I do most of my work on it.
I’ve only had my CNC for about 8 months. It sits idle most of the time, but then again I don’t really have a lot of projects that need it. When I do need to use it, however, it’s great being able to run 50 to 100 parts at a time, or just make something that would be hard or impossible to do with manual machining.
It is possible to overuse your CNC machine because you are so tempted to use it for everything. However, you can save time by using the CNC for some things and doing more basic machining on manual machines.
It’s not a matter of overuse as much as misuse. For instance, if you’re trying to cut steel with a 1/8″ endmill with no coolant, etc., then you will be replacing parts faster than you are making them.

What bit to use on cnc machine?
